Please help us welcome our newest Success Team Member to Beautiful Faces Going Places - Women's Success Network: Dr. Betty Tonsing, Owner, Taking the Next Level, Inspiring Healthy and Global Living.

Dr. Betty Tonsing is an accomplished public speaker and writer. With a career that has spanned four continents and fourteen countries, she has worked with the United Nations, USAID, the State Department, private industry and nonprofits. Dr. Tonsing offers high-capacity experience and leadership in four major areas: global engagement and partnerships, the patients voice in health care, and advancing entrepreneurial visions. As a healthy living revolutionary she has authored several books and over thirty articles published in the US and international press.

Dr. Tonsing has been a keynote speaker at international conferences with participation also on numerous panels, seminars and workshops on global partnerships and education, women’s issues, and most recently, patient safety and advocacy. Dr. Tonsing is also a history professor with three Fulbright’s, and is a passionate advocate that history is best taught by telling stories and being raw, real and transparent about the lessons of history. She states: “Perhaps then, more people would love history rather than fall asleep in their classes.”

Dr. Tonsing is currently offering three speeches:

1) ‘Chomping Our Way Through Time’, a brief history of what we were eating when, and how food impacted society. Not at all dry! Comes with ancient indigenous recipes on bird brain stew and Eskimo ice cream;

2) Go Out Into the Deep, which simply focuses on the powerful question ... "Are we living life in the deep?"; and

3) Enter At Your Own Risk: Medical Errors, the 3rd Leading Cause of Death in the US, based on a book written about the death of Dr. Tonsing’s husband from such a medical error.
